My First Explosive Box Card
Hey Followers!, so i decided to do an explosive box today for the card i am making for my Brother-in-law (HOPEFULLY SOON!) HEHE
So i hope you like it
I put the year of his birth, and some other birthday symbols, and sentiments
I hope you like it! its my First one! i didnt know what the demensions were so i just made it up, i made the base a whole peice of 12x12 so i just scored at the 4 inch mark, and then cut off the corner squares, and then i made the inner square 7.5x7.5 and i just scored it in the 3 places and cut off the corner squares, then just glued it down in the centre, i used glue dots so there would be a good and secure hold
I also used glue dots for the chip board accents, i find that chipboard really sticks well with glue dots, i love them! i dont ever have to worry if my items are secure with them
The lid i made, with a 6 inch by 6 inch sheet, scored at the 1 inch mark on each side, then slit the corners, to secure the corner square inside the side of the lid, (so dont cut off the Corner squares, so u can make a secured lid, unlike the box)
the Box is 4 inches by 4 inchs, so its pretty big, u can make them as big as you like, or as small as you like
So this is all for now, hope you like it and leave a Comment

so i used a Range of blues and browns for this card, i used Chipboad letters, i used a happy birthday friskars stamp set, for the floating letters i used a peice of plastic i got off something i purchased and was just laying around ,i found that it was stiff enough to hold up a letter, (im not sure what other people use, i have seen some stiff wire also, it adds a little extra when popping the card open, hehe)
I used a chipboard frame, and used a white gel pen to add stitching in some places, i have a little pocket on the one flap that will be used for a Gift Card,
