fasten off leaving a long tail, sew with your darning needle along all the 12 stitches and pull it tight to close up the hole, be sure to finish stuffing the body before you fasten it off completely, leaving a long enough tail to attached the tentacles at this point would also be helpful, about 2 feet of length
Rnd 1: 6 sc into magic ring
Rnd 2: inc every stitch [12]
Rnd 3-6: Sc in each stitch [12]
Rnd 7: (dec, sc in the next 4 stitches) repeat again [10]
Rnd 8: Sc in each stitch [10]
Rnd 9: (dec, sc in the next 3 stitches) repeat again [8]
*stuff the tentacle as you go, it will be very hard to stuff at the end*
Rnd 10: sc in each stitch [8]
Rnd 11: (dec, sc in next stitch) repeat around) [4]
*fasten off, stitch up the 4 stitches to close up the end
Using the long tail at the bottom of the Octopus body sew all of the tentacles onto the bottom of the body, i felt it easiest to thread all the tentacles onto the yarn at once and then lay it down ontop of the bottom of the head and secure it to the centre and i also secure it around the body as i wanted it to be in this fore at all times, if you wish for the tentacles to hang down and move you can tack it down less
