Cat Ears Headband Tutorial

Start off with some headbands, you can get them at the dollar store, or just about anywhere, or if you have any old ones laying around the house you want to spruce up a bit!
you can also buy blank ones from amazon! - link -> http://go.magik.ly/r/charmedbyashley/16eae/
Time to cover the hairband, you will be doing single crochets around the headband covering its entirety.

once your finished, fasten off the yarn and decide where you want your ears to be, trying to make them as symmetrical as possible. to start your ear you will be chaining 1 and 8 sc in the next 8 stitches, so keep that in mind when you figure out what stitch you want to start with.

putting your hook through the stitch ontop of the headband attach your yarn (i used a different colour for demonstration purposes but would recommend using the same colour for the whole thing)
to create the ear
Ch 1, 8sc in next 8 stitches, turn work
ch 1, sc2tog, 4sc in next 4 stitches, sc2tog, turn work (6)
ch 1, sc2tog, 2sc in next 2 stitches, sc2tog, turn work (4)
ch1, sc2tog, sc2tog, turn work (2)
ch1, sc2tog, fasten off (1)

now i will go back to the beginning of the triangle, attach new yarn and slip stitch (or sc) a nice outline of the ear to finish off the edging.
create the other ear to match, embellish if you wish, hot glue ribbon to the ends to fasten the yarn onto the headband better and your done!

and your done! if you would like to watch the demonstration of how to make this headband please click the link to visit my youtube channel and subscribe for future tutorials!
